make time to meet your neighbors

LET'S FACE IT. LIFE ISN'T LIKE "FRIENDS".

How often have you gone to a happy hour looking to meet new friends and just ended up with a $45 charge and a riveting conversation about weather? We’ve all been there before - meeting people is hard, and moving past the small talk is even harder.

We all have interesting stories that make us who we are, but no one’s sharing that with a stranger on a Tuesday evening. The mission of Hello Neighbor is to provide a space for people who may never have met to come together and genuinely connect through meaningful conversation.

SAY HELLO

We create carefully-crafted gatherings centered on on making connection simple, lasting, and genuine.

In 2018, we realized everyone said the hardest part about the real world was making new connections. But why does it have to be like that?

Meeting people wasn’t always hard. The common experience of being at the same school or being in the same organization made meeting others less frightening, but when your neighbor is now an unknown 27-year old, we suddenly struggle to find a way to say hello.

We wanted to see if we could intentionally craft a space and a community where we don’t have to be apprehensive to meet people from other walks of life. Once those invisible walls are broken, it becomes easy to see we have more in common than meets the eye.

Everyone says their goal is to meet new people, but there’s no easy way to do it. We make it easier by planning the details, creating the space, and finding the people. All you have to do is show up and be open to sharing your interesting stories and ideas.

It’s our hope that this can be the first step in bringing our neighborhood closer together in a meaningful way. Our dream is for you to be able to live or move to any city in the world and never worry about how to find your community.

It's time to give back meaning to the word ‘neighbor’.

PAST VENUES

Behind the scenes, we’ll reach out to people in your city. Once everyone gathers, we break into small groups and have a conversation curated through a deck of our favorite crowd sourced questions designed to get people to skip small talk and jump straight into deeper, more meaningful conversation.
